Page not found in jekyll

Hi,

   I am new to Jekyll . i want to redirect to 404 page if somebody goes to wrong link. I have created the 404.html page and place in root directory. Please advice how can i proceed. I am not using nginx or apache web server. is there any to configure without web server.
