I specify post excerpt in front matter since it’s not in the body of the post so I can’t use
excerpt_separator. Is there a way to include paragraphs/lists in excerpt?
Or other way round, is it possible to remove anything before excerpt_separator when rendering a single post?
Check out the link below. The docs say you can use the excerpt_separator to define where to separate your content. It uses an example of making the separator <!--more--> (which seems to be. standard across different sites, including Wordpress.
You can use that value in the front-matter of individual posts or just set the value in _config.yml.
With those settings in place, you can just type <!--more--> wherever you want the excerpt to end directly in your content.
