How to Troubleshoot Jekyll Pagination Issues for an E-Commerce Blog?

Hi Jekyll Community,

I’m building an e-commerce blog with Jekyll 4.3.3, but pagination isn’t working for my product posts (~50 posts).

Setup: Jekyll 4.3.3, GitHub Pages, paginate plugin enabled.
Steps Tried:

  • Set paginate: 10 in _config.yml.
  • Used {% for post in paginator.posts %} in index.html.
  • Rebuilt site; only first page shows, no navigation links.

Questions:

  • How do you debug Jekyll pagination issues?
  • Any common pitfalls with GitHub Pages pagination?
  • Tips for ensuring reliable pagination for blog posts?

fairly sure GH Pages only works with jekyll 3.x - not 4.x. Maybe you are using an Action in which case I think you can use what ever version you want, as well as any plugins.

Are you getting any errors on gh when it builds?

As for using the paginator, I don’t have any experience with it unfortunately.

There are 2 versions of the paginator - the initial one as I recall is quite picky about the setup and usage.
