I’m trying to run image_optim via jekyll-assets in a Windows machine. However, I see that image_optim_pack, which I assume is necessary for image_optim to work, is not compatible with Windows. Is there a way to get image_optiom to work in a Windows machine?
I can’t answer your question but there is imagemin
that you can use via Gulp…
Like @mmistakes recently pointed in an interview, image_optim can slow down your build.
It’s worh mentioning that besides useful services like Cloudinary (jekyll plugin) or Imgix, you can also plug bots like ImgBot to your repository that will open PR and lossless optimize your images.
