Brand new to Jekyll. I just booted up the starter site locally and it looks great, but the github pages version is rendering wrong

I am simply uploading my local jekyll repo directly to github, so I am not sure what I need to do from here to get this working.

EDIT: I frustratingly stopped working on the site for a while and came back to find the styling now properly renders… Maybe it takes some time for it to look right after you push the latest build to Github?

or could have been a caching issue. I sometimes check things in another browser (or different computer) just to make sure (Shift F5 as well).
