# Markdown tables with jekyll not working

I used below syntax for markdown table but it’s not showing the table. Can anyone help?

| Syntax | Description | Test Text |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Header | Title | Here’s this |
| Paragraph | Text | And more |

It’s not showing as the table it shows only the data.

If you inspect the code (or open the page as source file) you should see the HTML table tags, if you don’t see the grid is because of the CSS style applied by your theme.

Indeed. You have a table with no borders.
