# Can't install jekyll on linux mint 20.1

Hi, I’m having trouble installing jekyll on Linux Mint 20.1

I am following the [ubuntu install instructions](https://jekyllrb.com/docs/installation/ubuntu/)  
All the prerequisites report as installed.  
Because I am using zsh, I added the lines configuring the gem path to `~/.zshrc`  
When I run `gem install jekyll bundler`, I get the following error:

```auto
ERROR: Error installing jekyll:
	The last version of sass-embedded (~> 1.54) to support your Ruby & RubyGems was 1.57.1. Try installing it with `gem install sass-embedded -v 1.57.1` and then running the current command again

Running `gem update --system` gives the following error:

Hello @SamMiddleton,  
Try running the following instead:

```bash
ruby --version
gem install jekyll --version="~> 4.2.0"

```
