I’ve got a site like https://sites.google.com/site/samskrtamsfo/home , which I want to migrate to jeykyll. Could the experts here guide me regarding how to accomplish that? (I mean what theme to use etc…)
Some constraints -
I want a similar (if not better) look and feel - I want to be able to easily navigate (think 4-level trees) to various pages. This should ideally be mobile friendly, as in https://html5up.net/ . Which theme would you suggest?
Users should be able to search the site, as in Google sites.
It would be nice to have an edit link on each page, directing the user to the appropriate github page.
How to generate auto-updated table-of-contents of the type seen in https://sites.google.com/site/samskrtamsfo/prayogah/tantram-agamah ?
I can use various online tools to convert the HTML to markdown or rst, then manually find-and-replace url references, remove unsupported elements (such as embedded videos, tables of content…). But I don’t know much beyond that…
