Jekyll.tips is an excellent starting point for the newcomer in Jekyll universe. It includes well written guides from set-up to hosting and even covers advanced topics like collections, pagination, and data files. The example templates make it also easier to dig deeper into Jekyll’s templating world.

Another rich collection of Jekyll themes. You can also sort themes by conditions like popularity or alphabetically.
